6 Reasons Vietnamese Coffee Works So Well for Espresso

1

MORE BODY

Vietnamese Coffee naturally creates a heavier, fuller espresso.

2

THICKER CREMA

A thick, creamy crema with a hint of honey, creating a rich, full mouthfeel.

3

Best with MILK

Bold enough to stay present in lattes and cappuccinos.

4

NATURAL SWEETNESS

Honey/ Natural processing brings caramel, chocolate and subtle honey notes.

5

STRONG WITHOUT BURNT

More intensity from the bean - not from over-roasting it.

6

MORE CAFFEINE

Naturally higher caffeine than typical Arabica espresso.

WHAT MAKES OUR COFFEE SPECIAL?

Vietnamese Climate & Volcanic Soil

Grown around 1,200m in cool highland weather and rich basalt soil, our coffee ripens slowly, building deeper flavor and more natural sweetness.

100% Ripe Cherries

Every cherry is hand-picked only when fully ripe, helping preserve the natural sugars and sweetness developed inside the fruit.

Roasted for Espresso

We roast medium-dark to bring out the natural character of Vietnamese coffee - using a profile built specifically for espresso and roasted fresh every week.

Real Reviews From Mây 1200 Coffee Drinkers

★★★★★

"Strong without that burnt taste."

I like my coffee bold, but most dark roasts are just too bitter for me. This is strong and full-bodied, but still really smooth.
Michael T.
★★★★★

“Way more flavor than I expected.”

I could actually taste the chocolate and sweetness instead of just “coffee.” Rich enough with milk, but smooth enough to drink black too.
Crystal H.
★★★★★

“This tastes like coffee I had in Vietnam.”

I’ve been trying to find that deep, rich Vietnamese coffee flavor in the U.S. for years. This is probably the closest I’ve found.
Brittany A.
★★★★★

"The crema is seriously thick."

My first shot came out with a really dense, creamy layer on top. It makes the espresso feel much richer.
Jason L.
★★★★★

“Beautiful crema every time.”

Even with my home machine, I get a thick crema that holds up really well.
Chris P.
★★★★★

“Looks like a café shot.”

The crema was the first thing I noticed. Thick, golden, and much creamier than what I usually pull at home.
Andrew S.
★★★★★

“Exactly the body I want from espresso.”

It feels heavy and full in the mouth without becoming overly bitter.
Kevin L.
★★★★★

“Much fuller than my usual beans.”

The shot has a really satisfying texture. You can actually feel the difference right away.
Thomas K.
★★★★★

“Bold without being rough.”

Strong flavor, thick body, but still surprisingly smooth from start to finish.
Lauren B.
★★★★★

“It doesn’t disappear in milk.”

I make lattes every morning, and I can still clearly taste the coffee after adding milk.
Sarah J.
★★★★★

“Perfect for my cappuccino.”

The chocolate and caramel notes work really well with milk. Rich without tasting overly roasted.
Emily N.
★★★★★

“My new latte bean.”

I normally need two shots to taste the coffee through milk. With this, one strong shot already does the job.
